Worth noting that Gordon is out fishing today - bit of a swell running. He is on the Clan McVey and it is a bit lumpy. Please bear this in mind for tomorrow. ( Forecasts I have seen imply weather will be similar tomorrow and blow up in the afternoon. ).
Remember it is only fishing and not worth taking un-necessary risks over.
PS: I am going for 8AM launch from Lymington and if the sea is rough will be turning around and coming home !
I`m taking a mate from work out on a promised trip.
but if you need me as numbers just tell me what to do !!!
We will be launching Baiter between 7.00 and 8.00
Gary
Gary,
Just report in and keep track of how many of each species of fish you catch ( up to a max of 4 per species ).
There is a scoring spreadsheet available here :-
Awol is being launched this afternoon and I will be taking it out for a trip if I can get crew. Let me know if you fancy a trip out.
Dean
Sorry Guy's but I won't be back in the UK until late afternoon on Sunday, but if it's postponed again to next week then I will be joining in the fun.

I hope you lot are enjoying yourselves and making the most of it. What am I doing? Laying a wood floor in the dining room.
And what have I to look forward to? Skirting boards and door architraves and new doors - until Wednesday. Then it's off to Bavaria and Austria for 3 or 4 weeks where I shall be trying to tempt some of the wild trout from the mountain streams.
Terry.
nearly felt sorry for you tel until i read the latter bit of your post ![]()
Well done you guys who stuck to your guns in the face of a forecast of rain rain and more rain. I don't knw about the western solent but in Bournemouth it was a lovely lovely day. I hope the catches were up to the weather and look forward to hearing all about it.
Me I spent most of the day making the house spotless for Carols return from hospital in the afternoon.

9th Carol Fox 3 points
10th Mike Fox 0 points
Number fishing = 10
For the set of three species comps the scoring system is 20 points for the winner, 19 for second, 18 for third etc.
So next species comp there is everything to fish for. Why not give it a go.
- Of interest was the fact that whilst fishing in the Solent for the species comp the Lymington club were fishing one of their species comps at the same time - would be interesting to see how many fished their comp.
Those who don't fish because they think they have no chance, take a note of Gazza's score. He only fished this for fun. One way of guaranteeing you have no chance is to not fish at all !
One more comp towards the BFM league and one final one left to fish.
Well done Gary and to all you others that had a go ![]()
I shall hopefully be able to fish the next comp so you had better get practising ![]()
