A week to go before the Junior Species Comp.

Fishing between 10.00am and 3.00pm, hopefully weather permitting we will be able to fish outside of the harbour, please look for any last minute posts if the weather is not good.

Please book the Boat and Junior in as normal, if a non member please post name address and age for Brian to add to membership or give to me on the day.

Afterwards we will be doing a presentation around 3.30 at Cobbs, goody bags and a few prizes, and most likely some pizzas and a few soft drinks and perhaps a beer for the parents!

Members are most welcome at Cobbs but please post if your coming and if you would like pizza

The Competition Sunday combines the one day Species Comp and the last day of the Specimen Comp, so a chance to win the two Junior Competitions of 2023 on one day!

Hi guys,

Well done the Lionesses!!!! due to the low entries and lack of entries it has been decided to postpone the Junior Species Comp.

Great shame, as for once the weather isn't to bad.!!!!!

We will keep the Specimen Comp going until the end of August hoping the weather keeps on improving as it seems to be doing.

That’s a shame Jerry after all the work you’ve put in, thanks for the early update but with the lack of numbers fully understand the decision.

Will the species comp get a new fixed date?

Neil, i would like to think so, but we need a bit more commitment, ATM all entries will get a rod and reel prize with so few entries! Which isn't a problem, but we are trying to get newbies into the sport. Any of Leos mates could fish/join as only £2.00 entry for juniors to fish the Comps, and join the club, bargain!

Lets hope the weather is kind for a couple of weeks and a few more juniors can get out.

Well done for all the efforts so far Jerry

I hope that you get a bit more support, I will try to get my Grandson onboard to join in before his Rugby season starts.

I was hoping to fish Sunday, but apparently I have a football match to watch.
