The news today of Twin Sails closing the weekend of the re scheduled competition, will unfortunately mean a small number of boats will not be able to join in.
I have spoken with Cobbs who hopefully might be able to organise alternative moorings elsewhere, for any boats moored there, who wish to participate and cannot get under the bridge.
I will post when I get a reply from Cobbs. Please get in touch with me if you berth at Cobbs and would like to put your boat in another marina for a week.
Hopefully Cobbs will give a positive reply.
Jerry
I don't think the bridge will affect the comp. 😎
The bridge is closing Monday 7th December to Friday 11th December.
I thought the comp was Saturday 7th November and Sunday 8th November
Twin Sales Definitely out of action from 7 th December as Dredging will be taking place In the Marina From 9th November till early December.
Thankyou, as you get older you get dafter, as you get dafter you get older.!!!
I will ring Cobbs tomorrow and explain my senility!!!
The comp is 7th and 8th November so not affected.
Has the upcoming lock down killed this one off?
I have just read your recent post Charlie, very interesting.
As far as I am aware MDL are closing there marinas on Thursday. As far as I can see and understand, I cannot see that the Comp this coming weekend will be able to happen.
However if other marinas stay open!!!!!
I think everyone should take it that very sadly we will postpone the Species Competition until we get clarification that we can use our boats again.
Jerry apparently Cobb's are not closing the marina and are continuing to work as per normal. The only thing that may stop us using our boats is PHC or bridge lifts

Is this an MDL across the board decision Martin? [emoji1695]

Neil I don't know if its across the board. I have heard of a few people that have asked the question at cobbs and all got the same answer open as normal but then, the boatyard next door said they would remain open unless the police knocked on their door and told them to close so I guess cobbs may have felt obliged
