Well done Paul that will certainly give the anglers something to think about on the day
Nice trophy and prizes for a returned fish, it really must be the way to go on the fish conservation front. ![]()

looks very good - and glad to see the drinks are still in there........... ![]()
over recent years I thinks it's fair to say that I have gone further than many in this area - I don't even catch them in the first place.
however I love a challenge!
High-Ho, High-Ho...its off to the Race we go,
With macky and launce,
We're in with a chance,
High-, High-Ho!
Rich.........ever hopefull!
And you wonder why people call you the gay badger? ![]()
Someone mentioned earlier about garfish....not normally considered a common catch in November admittedly, but in that barmy weather last sundy I managed to snag one whilst lure fishing and I saw a couple of others following lures during the afternoon, so they are still around. There were also plenty of bass, so I'm looking forward to seeing who will take the C&R trophy.
By the way, I received the rod and reel combo from Penn yesterday and the reel is not the model listed in the initial draft of the comp notice - it's actually a Penn 310GTI, and there's a spool of braid and bulk spool of mono as well - I reckon this is about
does the 8-30 start mean from baiter or time you can start fishing. ie leave baiter at 07-05 motor for 11/2 hrs and start fishing ?
cheers andy
Andy,
You can't register until 7:30am
Fishing starts at 8:30am as not all boat will be leaving from Baiter.
PJ
Just to wish you all good luck- especially with the bass C&R. Lets hope its a double for someone, and there are some great pics.
wish I could be with you but family matter shave to be attended to
Weather forecast seems fine too - the gods are smiling!!
the forecast is indeed looking promising!
if it holds like that we are in for an exciting day methinks - with boats bombing around looking for that elusive specimen then dashing back to weigh in.............

last Sunday gave me some great info on where not to fish.
.....,but then again the tides will be so different ![]()
The Total Prize fund is looking good as we have hit the
oooooh a trailer - that would be usefull for getting the leads too and from the boat for these winter sessions!
![]()
I heard you need the trailer for your wallet Duncan ![]()
but after being in a bar with you a few times this is still only a rumour ![]()
Great news about the prize table Paul, it look well worth going for.
well done and we are looking forward to getting out there to see if we can grab a few fish that are worthy of a prize.
Tight lines everyone
Charlie
So....................Slam Dunc takes on Paul D's role as fat wallet one???
Excellent work on the prize front PJ, reflects very well on the club as a whole.....well done.
My predictions are as follows......heaviest round fish...Conger, heaviest flattie....Brill.........best % specimen............Garfish/undulate/pout/cuckoo...........and if I can really put my neck on the block....I reckon a near double bass will be wighed at sea..... and released.
Hope its me!!
Rich
