Jerry I am busy tomorrow, my input is it looks like an improving forecast 10-15mph at worse as an average, wave height 600mm, so I think it is just acceptable. I will be happy if it goes ahead. I will leave it to you to finalise.
That's not the attitude Mal, what the hell are you up to that's more important than club comps

As others are being totally selfish and have arranged other events can I please add,
Kingfisher - Chris W, Gary W, Kev C.
Forecast is improving a little, so Graham with two non members (son Wayne and grandson Ashton) will be out there somewhere.
Ive never caught a cod before (apart from while drifting over a wreck on Alfresco many years ago). Is the general opinion that anchoring or drifting is the way to fish for cod? I personally prefer anchoring (but as mentioned, have never caught a cod, maybe thats why?).
Hi Graham
We will be at anchor for both species tomorrow in about 100 ft
I am sure we will see whiting but not so confident on a winter cod
This time of year anchor and big baits
This time of year anchoring and getting a good scent trail going is the usual method.
Cod are very thin on the ground so don't get your hopes up too much even if you do everything right.
Dear All,
Unfortunately the weather seems to be just a bit too much tomorrow considering the different size boats and the fact for the Cod and Whiting you have to travel a bit further. As a responsible club I think the only sensible thing is to postpone and hope we get another chance before Christmas.
Jerry
Totally the right decision Jerry.
Good call.
I have been holding off putting our names down for tomorrow due to the uncertainty of the weather.
Look forward to the next date.
Greg
( instead I will pop out tomorrow in the harbour entrance for a Bass or two!!!)
Thanks Jerry. Look forward to the next date.
Pete
Oh boo
Thanks Jerry, I would not have made it as Ann is positive for Covid on today's PCR Test Results. Although I am still negative. She really isn't well and it is her birthday on Sunday. Mike Hall could well be taking Fisheagle out with a couple of other Club Members. There have been several Cod to almost double figures caught in the Harbour this week.
New Cod Whiting Comp Date.
28th November
Having had to postpone tomorrow we will keep fingers crossed for the weather on the above date.

Looks lovely Steve,
What would it be like out past the Needles or even further?
Probably as rough as one of my chat up lines ! 😄
