Poole Cod Comp has been moved to the 6th Jan if that helps to make a date.

The weather on the weekend of the 5th and 6th is looking good for fishing (at the moment!)
The Poole cod comp is scheduled for the 6th and as mentioned it is a neap tide.
So.... best option
Fish the flounder comp the following Sunday - the 13th

I see the weather is shaping up to be windy for this ...again !! But the big difference is that forecasts are giving it coming from the North[ish] and cold !!
If this holds, will you still fish it ....on the basis that we can find some shelter ?

If there has to be wind then North is a good direction for Poole harbour as most if not all boats are on that side of the harbour

Is anyone Poole side looking for company Sunday? I don't think I've ever caught a flounder from a boat so I won't be any competition to the skipper. Obviously I am happy to share all costs etc.

I must be honest Charlie, I'm not a great fan of flounder fishing myself (probably due to the fact i never catch any) but ..... well you never know with fishing do you?
